Preparing Your Garments Before Shipping
Once you have selected the garments for your quilt, a few simple preparation steps help ensure the design process goes smoothly.
How to Prepare Garments for a Memory or T-Shirt Quilt
Before shipping garments to the studio, a few simple preparation steps help ensure the design process goes smoothly.
Guidelines
• If garments are already clean, they do not need to be rewashed.
• If clothing has been stored for a long time, washing it first is recommended.
• Please do not cut garments before shipping them. We handle all cutting and layout preparation in the studio.
• If you have special placement requests, attach a small note or safety pin to the garment.
Packing and Shipping Your Garments
Proper preparation helps garments arrive safely and allows the quilt layout to be designed accurately. Including a few extra garments can provide additional design flexibility when planning the quilt layout.
Garments can be folded and placed in a shipping box or bag. Including your name, return address, and contact phone number inside the package helps ensure we can reach you if any questions arise during the design process.
• Plastic bags inside the box help protect garments from moisture during shipping.
• Tracking is recommended so you can monitor delivery.
Arrival at our Studio
Once your garments arrive at the studio, we will confirm receipt and begin planning the quilt layout.
If you have questions about garments, quilt sizes, or how many items may be needed for your project, we are always happy to help guide you through the process. You can also visit our Quilt Size Guide & Garment Requirements page.
